first thing's first, if you haven't already, check out OK COBRA, which is my project with recordface (he does the music, i do the raps). it's available now on urbnet records. below, you'll find a few appearances i've made over the years on various projects, with a brief note on each. i've got mp3's for some of them, others i'm still trying to find. more to come...

Child in Rhyme | OK Cobra (Drunk Rock EP, 2005) | mp3
This is my favorite OK Cobra song, but I like them all. You should hear them all. Hopefully soon we’ll find a way to get our album out and come to your town.
Nice Day for Frank | Montana Matthews & Nevada Brown feat. Ryan Styles (Songs From a Lost Taco Stand EP, 2004, Lean Butter Records) | front | mp3
Montana & Nevada’s second album is in the works, and you’ll find me on it again. This is the first taste. Another one of those “don’t have anything written, just get in the vocal booth and start talking” kind of things. For this one, I just started thinking about good things. They called it “Nice Day for Frank,” but I call it “Type Good.”
Snipers | Underground Cartel feat. Tone, Fritz tha Cat, Danjah & RBI (DropZone EP, 2004, New Dawn Records UK) | front | back | mp3
A cool little compilation EP released in Europe, featuring cats from the US, Canada, the UK, and France. The beat is in 3/4 time or something, so it was crazy hard to figure out how to rhyme on it, so I pretty much freestyled it.
Booze Can | Jay Clark & the Jones feat. Ryan Styles (Home Fires Burning, 2004, Death of Cash Records) | front | back | mp3
These guys had this song with a little breakdown in it towards the end, and asked me to drop some rhymes on it. I listened to the song for about a week trying to come up with something, but I ended up writing the verse in my head on my way to the studio to record it.
Bury The Bodies | Fritz Tha Cat, Mindbender & Vangel (Bassments of Badmen Vol. 2, 2003, Hand Solo Records) | front | back | mp3
This came together in a day. Hooked up at Dorc’s studio, and we each wrote a verse on the spot and put it down. RecordFace also did a remix of this track for our OK Cobra album. You can hear that at our site. The album was re-released in 2004 on Urbnet Records.
Beer, Women and Rap | Fritz tha Cat & DJ Tonic (Thought Sauce Compilation, 2002, BSI Records [unreleased]) | front | mp3
This is a track I recorded at Tonic's studio, and included on a compilation album I was going to release with BSI's hip-hop sublabel, One Drop Recordings. Unfortunately, BSI pulled the plug on One Drop before it ever came out (I've had some bad luck with putting together compilations, eh?).
Spontaneous 2 | Tachichi & Moves (featuring Buck 65, Governor Bolts, Birdapres, B-Side, Mindbender, Obie, Gordski, Jayo Smooth, Cee!!!, Fritz tha Cat, Kotep & J-Ras)
(Booze Brothers, 2002, Low Pressure Records)
| front | back | mp3
A classic Canadian posse cut.
Jimmy Trans-Camaro | Montana Matthews & Nevada Brown feat. Dakota Dirt (Southern Comfort, 2001, Lean Butter Records) | front | back | mp3
These are my homies Matt and Spencer. For this track, I didn’t have anything written, so I just got in the vocal booth and started yelling. I think it turned out pretty cool. I shot a video for this song a couple years ago but it was never finished.
Dirty Hanes Freestyle | Dirty Hanes (Cock Dynamics Vol. 1, 1997, Hand Solo Records) | front
This was a compilation of sex rhymes, featuring a gang of different Canadian rappers. I wasn’t able to record a proper song for it, so I ended up leaving some drunken freestyle on DJ Moves’ answering machine, and he put it to a beat. I haven’t heard this in years.
Hoodz-N-Tha-Woodz | Stone Groove Trio (EP, 1994, unreleased)
This was my first rap group in high school, think Native Tongues meet Beastie Boys. It was me, my buddies Ben (B-Jammin) and Jon (Jon Juan), and DJ Capital-J. We recorded a bunch of tracks, and played a bunch of shows all around Ontario, but the group broke up before we released anything. I’m still trying to find a copy of our old tape.
